The idea for Peter Oliver came from the desire of directors Owen and Nick to offer clients the very best of both worlds – great modern marketing with bespoke personal service, and a focus on customer satisfaction rather than simply the bottom line.
Having managed highly successful Sussex offices within a large estate agency chain, Owen and Nick saw an opportunity to offer a different service for home buyers and sellers.
Owen explains: “We saw that what we were doing really worked but we grew tired of the corporate focus on money over service. We saw a real gap in the market to launch a fresh new estate agency that could mix modern marketing with traditional values.
“We are all about building professional relationships and giving the very best personal service to our customers. At Peter Oliver, we want people to come back and use us time and time again, and recommend us to their friends, neighbours and families.”
And Nick adds: “We’ve worked in the Uckfield and Crowborough areas for many years and been market leaders not only in the number of homes we’ve sold but also in achieving the best possible prices for our clients.
“That’s exactly what we intend to carry on doing at Peter Oliver, but as well as bringing all the elements we know work for our customers, we’re cutting all the unnecessary parts to offer the most effective marketing package in the area.”
Meet The Team
Owen has been an estate agent all his working life and before establishing Peter Oliver Homes was a branch partner in a large chain, managing a team that sold more properties in Uckfield than any of its competitors. Outside work, he enjoys spending time with his partner Caroline and their children, Lily and Oliver.
Nick began his career in estate agency in a trainee role more than 10 years ago and progressed quickly through a series of promotions to reach senior management level in a large chain, where he led one of its best-performing branches. He lives in Crowborough, is engaged to Rebecca and is a keen sportsman, regularly playing football, tennis and golf.
Ryan has worked in the Financial Services industry for the past 10 years. Using his wide experience he is committed to offering every client excellent personal service, working with them to make sure he understands their individual needs and working hard to achieve each client’s individual financial goals.Ryan has an in-depth knowledge of the mortgage market and lenders criteria, underpinned by the ability to provide a quality financial planning service and up to the minute market information in the ever changing and evolving financial sector.
Kaye has lived locally in the area most of her life and has a genuine love for the town of Uckfield. She
has always enjoyed working with people having been employed previously as a business
administrator at Howdens and a love for property is what drew her to the position with Peter Oliver.
Her interests out of work include gardening and walking and she has a passion for wildlife.
Rebecca was employed for a year previously at a large local estate agency which followed a more
corporate approach and was pleased for the opportunity to extend her experience working for a
local independent agent. Rebecca has a passion for property and working with people from all walks
of life, and outside of work she enjoys baking and socialising with friends.
Chris has been employed in estate agency for over five years now having worked for several large
corporate agents and has settled well into his new sales role with Peter Oliver. Having always had
positions requiring direct contact with people, the work is now second nature to Chris, but the thrill
of a new sale still holds the same excitement. Chris is well travelled having lived in Asia for eight
years and loves spending time outdoors with his wife and two children.
Sharon lives in Uckfield has worked in the local property market for many years. Although Sharon’s 1st role is as the office administrator, the nature of her role has evolved into dealing with customers, booking valuations and viewings. Basically, Sharon can do it all and is the backbone of the team!
Glenn is an experienced professional who takes a keen interest helping people find their dream homes. Always happy to help and often on hand with useful advice, Glenn is a real asset to the team and is popular with many of our customers – just don’t get him started on his favourite topic – Golf!
Barbara is our dedicated sales progressor. Once we’ve agreed a sale, Barbara will liaise with all parties to help each transaction reach exchange of contracts asap. Having worked in both estate agency and the legal profession for many years, Barbara is ideally experienced for the role.
